Dr. McKinley Drake

Rev. McKinley Drake was born in Worth County Georgia, December 1, 1954 , to the late Dea. Theodus Drake Sr., and Mrs. Sarah Drake. He attended the public schools in Worth and Dougherty Counties. He joined the Mt. Early Baptist Church at the age of eight , where he was active in the Choir and Sunday School. He was a lead singer in the former Drake Singers of Albany, Georgia and the lead singer on the famous recording, Jesus, that’s His Name.

After living in Florida for several years, he moved to Augusta, Georgia, united with the Live River Baptist Church and later moved to the Beulah Grove Baptist Church. In 1990, he accepted the call in the ministry.
Rev. Drake is the former pastor of Lower Tabernacle Baptist Church of Lincolnton, Georgia and Springhill Baptist Church of Hephzibah, Georgia. With honor he presently serves as Pastor of Greater Cutliff Grove M.B.C. and is the founder and CEO of Cutliff Grove Family Resource Center, Inc.
A graduate of Dougherty High and the I.B.E.W. Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program in Albany, Georgia, Rev. Drake also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Albany State University. He also attended Paine College, Erskine Theological Seminary, American Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Drake holds a Master of Ministry and Doctorate of Theological Studies from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary.
Rev. Drake is the husband of the lovely Mrs. Gloria Miller Drake. They have two children, Crystal and Courtney.
